Model used for my presentation "Enterprise Architecture Modelling with ArchiMate in an Agile at Scale Programme"

Purpose

This model has been used for the presentation I gave at the Open Group Amsterdam event in November '19. It contains several simplified (but based on real experience) views that mix traditional Enterprise Architecture practices together with Continuous (or Agile) Architecture practices. Some viewpoints are also based on Event Storming practice and Simon Brown's C4 model.

Context

This model has been created to document changes taking place during an Agile at Scale program whose goal is to develop a whole Information System for Operational Risk Management in a Bank (called ArchiBank in my presentation). It is split in two main parts:

  • Strategic (or Enterprise) Architecture. This part aims at clarifying Value Streams and provides a decomposition of the Business Functions which realize the Operational Risk Management Capability. It also provides a simplified information model.
  • Tactical Architecture. This part aims at providing an overview of the application landscape for the Information System (as a whole or per application) and also keep track of some Event Storming sessions used to define processes. Some technology architecture views are also provided.

Model file

  • Model in native Archi Format
  • Model content in a single HTML export file
