Summary

  • Add npm run dev script that uses nodemon to watch for file changes and automatically rebuild/restart the server

Motivation

This improves the developer experience by enabling hot-reload during local development. When source files are modified, nodemon will automatically trigger a rebuild and restart the server, eliminating the need to manually stop and restart after each change.

Usage 

npm install
npm run dev

Test plan

  • Run npm install to install nodemon
  • Run npm run dev to start the development server
  • Modify a file in src/ and verify the server automatically rebuilds and restarts
