Reform the definition of Business Object
The definition of Business Object is somewhat at odds with the text that explains it. Definition reads "A business object represents a concept used within a particular business domain." This is a description of an Information Object, which as the text goes on to say is just 1 type of Business Object. I suggest a re-definition along the lines: "a passive resource used, produced or manipulated by a business behaviour”.
The Forum might like to consider that Information Object is so common in EA work, that it merits a place in the metamodel. On the other hand we could leave this and other common stereotypes to a sort of Standard Profile, similar to the mechanism used in the UML specification.
