Resource definition deviates from the widely accepted standard

The ArchiMate specification provides the following definition for Resource:

• A resource represents an asset owned or controlled by an individual or organization.

However the widely accepted definition, especially in finance, for Asset is:

• A resource owned or controlled by a business or an economic entity.

Therefore, assets are typically a subset of resources, some of which may be owned or controlled but definitely not all.

So the ArchiMate specification has turned a widely accepted definition around which is confusing.
