The discussion board (also known as "Issues") is the main place of the ArchiMate User Community website. It is meant to be used as a general place to discuss about ArchiMate and share examples, models or viewpoints.

## Guidelines
|
|
|
|
|
|
The general rule for posting in this group is:
|
|
|
_The subject of a post may only be about the ArchiMate language. Generic Enterprise Architecture or even further off-topic posts are not allowed._
|
|
|
|
|
|
All models shared here within must meet the following requirements:
|
|
|
|
|
|
1. **Models must be uploaded using at least [The Open Group ArchiMate(R) Model Exchange File Format](http://www.opengroup.org/xsd/archimate/)**. You're also encouraged to post a PDF or image version of your model to make it easier for people to read it online.
|
|
|
1. Models must be shared using [OSI Apache 2.0 License](https://opensource.org/licenses/Apache-2.0)
|
|
|
1. Contributors will anonymize any organizational information in models and discussions
|
|
|
1. No commercial advertising
|
|
|
1. You can reference material written on other websites or blogs, but make sure to: provide a link to the original page, provide the name of the original author and to quote only the relevant portion.
|
|
|
1. Models published by The Open Group are available through the [ArchiMate Library](https://publications.opengroup.org/archimate-library?limit=50). Commentary on these models does not grant access to The Open Group or to Member-only discussions. Comments may be considered and used on future updates to the model.
|
|
|

|
|
## Creating a Discussion
|
|
|
You can create a new Discussion by going to the [Discussion Board](https://community.opengroup.org/archimate-user-community/home/-/issues) and clicking on the [New Issue](https://community.opengroup.org/archimate-user-community/home/-/issues/new) button.
|

|
|
|
|
If you want to share a model or a viewpoint, you can use one of the templates:

|
|
|
|

You can add images and attachments to an issue through the `Attach a file` button (on the lower right corner of the text area) or simply by dropping your file onto the text.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Comments
|
|
|
As soon as an Issue has been created, people can add comments. It is also possible to add images and attachments to a comment.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Designs
|
|
|
In some occasion, comments are not the best way to collaborate on an architecture view. In such case, you can import diagrams into the "Designs" tab below the issue content. Once imported, you and other people will be able to add visual anchors to the diagram and associate comments and discussions:
