Minor changes on Section 9.3.3 Application Process

For better readability:

  • Move this section upwards to become Section 9.3.1 (in sync the the definitions in the Business Layer)
  • From "An application process describes the internal behavior performed by an application component that is required to realize a set of services." to "An application process describes the internal behavior performed by an application internal active structure element that is required to realize application services."
  • Add the following after the first paragraph: "If its behavior is exposed externally, this is done through one or more application services. An application process abstracts from the way it is implemented. Only the necessary behavior is specified. It can access application passive structure elements as input and use or transform these to produce other application passive structure elements as output."
  • From "An application process may access data objects. An application component may be assigned to an application process (which means that this component performs the process)." to "An application internal active structure element may be assigned to an application process (which means that this element performs the process)."
  • From "The name of an application process should clearly identify a series of application behaviors using a verb or verb-noun combination" to "The name of an application process should clearly identify a sequency of application behavior using an active verb or verb-noun combination, and may include the word “process”
