Create Community Maintained Models authored by Jean-Baptiste Sarrodie's avatar Jean-Baptiste Sarrodie
Self-organized community workgroups can be created to work on models which will be hosted into the [ArchiMate Model Repository](https://community.opengroup.org/archimate-user-community/models). Creation of such workgroup should first be announced in an [issue](https://community.opengroup.org/archimate-user-community/home/-/issues). Maintainers will then create the model space and provide access rights as needed.
## Set your goal
Each workgroup should have a clearly defined goal. Typical goals are:
- Create an ArchiMate version of an already existing reference architecture. In such case, make sure it is covered by an license allowing distribution and derivative work.
- Create a new reference model for a specific vertical or industry.
- Document a set of coherent viewpoints together with examples
- Create a new case study
## Collaborate
Once discussed through an issue and agreed, a model space (ie. a GitLab project) will be created by [community maintainers](Support) and access right will be provided to workgroup's members. The Model space is autonomous and has its own storage (ie. Repository), Discussion Board (ie. Issues), and Wiki.
## Deliver
When some milestones are reached, please make some announcement on the main community discussion board to make people aware of it. A stable version of your model will then be copied to the [Curated Content](Curated Content) space and listed in the wiki.
